About Elaine Griffin
Introduction
Elaine Griffin is a CNM qualified Naturopathic Nutritional Therapist and a Goiz
certified Biomagnetic Pair Therapist and runs Polaris Clinic in Galway City and
Westport, Co. Mayo. She set up Polaris Clinic in 2018 after winning her own
very long and challenging battle with chronic health conditions, and
consequently gave up a very successful career as an artist and lecturer in
NCAD, to help others struggling in the same ways. Elaine is an avid wild food
forager and gardener, producing much organic and nutritious fruits, vegetables
and herbs from her own garden in Westport, Co. Mayo.
Over 25 Years of Chronic Health Issues
Elaine suffered with chronic health issues for over 25 years, which began
after a severe bout of Epstein Barr Virus at age 18, resulting in multiple
hospitalisations and continued right up until age 44. During that time she
had received many diagnosis to include ME, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome,
Fibromyalgia and Pallindromic Rheumatism to name a few. In 2013 Elaine
was diagnosed with Lyme Disease and tick borne co-infections by a
specialist tick borne diseases lab in Germany. At that time she set up
Elaine Fights Lyme, a patient advocacy platform, to help raise awareness
of Lyme Disease and tick borne diseases.
Health Recovery
Her journey to recovering her health brought her around the globe, to
Australia, India, Germany and the USA, where she underwent over 2.5
years of intravenous antibiotic treatment under a specialist chronic health
clinic. Working with many experts and modalities in the fields of chronic
illness, both conventional and holistic, has given Elaine an impressive and
expansive understanding of treatment options and approaches.
In 2016 she discovered Biomagnetic Pair Therapy and began to recover her health and well-being. By 2018 she was employing Naturopathic Nutrition to continue her recovery trajectory and now enjoys a full life, free of pain and fatigue. In 2018, after qualifying as a Goiz Certified Biomagnetic Pair Therapist she opened Polaris Clinic to help others on their journey to recovering from chronic illness. In 2022 she qualified, with distinction, from the College of Naturopathic Medicine, CNM as a Naturopathic Nutritional Therapist.
